King Arthur’s Ride is inspired by the Arthurian legends, found in old English folklore. The piece begins with the heraldry and fanfare of the court at Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. Soon, however, the sounds of the court fade off into the distance, drowned out by the thundering hooves of galloping horses, as the heroic knights ride off on a quest.
