Arctic Challenge („Arktische Herausforderung“) wurde durch den Fernsehdokumentarfilm North Pole Airport inspiriert und besteht aus drei Sätzen: Barneo Base Camp, Into the Snow und Dance around the Earth. Der Komponist nimmt den Zuhörer mit nach Barneo – eine russische Forschungs-station auf dem Treibeis, die jedes Jahr im April ungefähr 100 km vom Nordpol entfernt errichtet wird.
