Commissioned for the ceremonies of the Akita State/Odate Division Band Association in 1998, this piece begins with a belltone fanfare similar to the marches from British musicals of the 50's and 60's. It's in 4/4 meter to emphasize an unusual melody. The trio is reminiscent of an Elgar or Walton coronation March.
